Albert Köhler GmbH & Co.KG, Gengenbach, has received the FSC and PEFC certification.
Most of the consumers pay their attention to the origin and the processing of the product and also to the demonstrable conformity with international environmental and social standards.
With the FSC and PEFC certification the greyboard mill Albert Köhler would like to underline their responsibility for the protection of the environment and the climate and makes a contribution to the sustainable utilization of the forest resources. All substances which are used to produce a greyboard, are coming from controlled sources, which is going to be verified by a third party.
FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an independent organization, which controls and pursues the way from the forest management to the end product. They attach importance to the observance of the ecological and economical standards of the forest management.
PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) is a “programme for the acknowledgement of the forest certification systems”, that pursues the following objective over the border of the countries: The global improvement of the forest utilization and management. The objective: The documentation and improvement of a sustainable forest management, with ecological, economical and social standards.
Up from now Albert Köhler GmbH & Co. KG has the possibility to supply greyboards with FSC and PEFC certification.
